Thermal sensing for animal care

How a care facility could notice important moments automatically, day or night, without cameras that identify anyone.

The story

Ken runs a busy boarding kennel. Staff want to know when certain things happen in each run, including overnight, but cameras feel intrusive to clients and staff alike.

Small thermal sensors notice warm events in each area and respond on their own, with a gentle chime, a note to staff or a treat for a well-behaved guest.

The dogs seem to approve.

What it makes possible

  • Events noticed in any lighting
  • No identifying images collected
  • Automatic, friendly responses
  • Sensors that keep an eye on themselves
